in 710 CE, During the time of the Umayyad Caliphate, the Mids of Debal (Pirates of the Hindu King of Sindh) attacked Muslim ships ships that were carrying Hajj Pilgrims, orphans & widows of Muslim soldiers from Sri Lanka. The Muslims were taken as prisoners and were sent to the king of Sindh.
Among these prisoners, was a young and beautiful Muslim woman. Upon witnessing her beauty, the King of Sindh wanted to make her as his concubine, but she refused. humiliated by her courage, the King imprisoned her in his palace, and raped and brutally tortured her every day.
Seeing the inhuman torture that she was going through, a native old man offered to help her. The Muslim woman wrote a letter and requested the man to send it to the arms of Hajjaj bin Yusuf, the governor of Iraq.
The man brought the letter to the Islamic province of Iraq, and after reading the letter, The governor was driven mad by fury, the Umayyad Caliph ordered the 17 year old general, Muhammad ibn Qasim to attack Sindh, who later met the Hindu King in the battle of Rohri, and defeated his forces.
The Hindu king was eventually killed in the battle, and the Muslims beheaded him and sent his head back to Damascus. Muhammad bin Qasim entered Sindh, and rescued the Muslim woman and all of the Muslim prisoners who were captured
