The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the schedule for the 2022 edition of the T20 World Cup. 2022. The T20 event is slated to begin on 16th October 2022 and will conclude on 13th November 2022. A total of 16 teams will play the tournament, with 12 of them qualifying for the Super 12 stages. As of now, Australia, Afghanistan, England, and New Zealand are slotted together in Group 1, while India, South Africa, Pakistan, and Bangladesh are slotted in Group 2. The Super 12 stages will begin on 22nd October 2022, with Australia and New Zealand clashing in a blockbuster match. And, on 23rd October 2022, another mega clash is lined up, as India will take on arch-rivals Pakistan. From 16th October to 21st October 2022, the qualifying matches will be held which will determine the 4 teams that will join the 8 other teams that have already qualified for the event. The 2021 T20 World Cup was won by the Australian side, and they beat New Zealand with 8 wickets to spare.
