Former The Hills star Audrina Patridge has opened up about the horrendous abuse she says she faced at the hands of her ex-husband Corey Bohan – claiming he would constantly degrade her and tell her she’s ‘a piece of s**t,’ get drunk while watching their daughter, and cheat on her.

Audrina, 37, and Corey, 40, first started dating in 2008. The couple welcomed a daughter, named Kirra, together in June 2016, and married four months later. However, they split in September 2017.

After filing for divorce, Audrina received a temporary restraining order and child abduction prevention order against Corey, after she accused the BMX dirt bike racer of domestic abuse.

Now, while chatting about her upcoming book Choices: To the Hills and Back Again — which is set to hit stands on July 26 – on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast, the reality star shared intimate details about their ‘toxic relationship,’ alleging that Corey would often call her names like ‘pathetic,’ ‘a fake c**t,’ and a ‘failure,’ disregard her privacy by reading her text messages, and accuse her of infidelity – all while he was being unfaithful himself.

She opened up about her decision to ultimately leave the professional motorcycle driver after things turned physical – recalling a horrifying moment when she says he pushed her while she held their young daughter in her hands.

According to the actress, the pair met through a ‘mutual friend’ and she soon fell for his ‘different vibe.’

‘I just felt like, I needed a guy that was respected in his own industry and had his own thing going on,’ she explained.

‘We had chemistry and I liked that he was respected and all about his career, he just had a whole different vibe about him than these LA guys.’

They soon started dating, however, early on in their relationship, Audrina admitted that she saw numerous ‘red flags.’

She says he would go away on tours for work and that she would receive Twitter messages from fans telling her that they saw him in a bar kissing another woman.

‘When I would confront him, he would say, “They’re lying to you because they don’t want you to be happy. They’re just fans. Don’t believe other people,”‘ the TV personality recalled.

‘So I started thinking, “OK, I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt.” I tried to block it out and believe him because I didn’t want to believe it but I kept getting these messages.

‘I always disregarded everything because I wanted to be in love. I loved him and I wanted it to work so bad that I was willing to change myself and do whatever to make him happy.’

Audrina said that Corey would get so paranoid that she was being unfaithful to him that he would force her to delete social media and read through her private messages.

She added: ‘I couldn’t even have a girls dinner without being blown up the entire time because I was being accused of going out to cheat.

‘It got to the point where, I’d rather not go out because I didn’t want to deal with the fight or accusations.’

The model recalled one specific time when Corey became convinced that she was sleeping with a The Hills producer.

She said he made her call him every night at a certain time to prove she was in bed while she was on a press tour for the show, and if she didn’t, ‘Hell would break loose.’

The mom-of-one said it was a ‘toxic struggle’ where things would be ‘amazing’ for months – before something else would set him off, which would spiral them into another messy fight.

She recalled begging him to ‘get out of her house’ when they would argue, but he’d refuse to leave.

At one point, she found naked photos and sexual text messages from another woman in his phone, which she said ‘ripped her heart out.’

All the while, she was starring in one of the biggest TV shows of its time, The Hills – alongside Lauren Conrad, Heidi Montag and Whitney Port – and keeping her tumultuous relationship out of the public eye wasn’t easy for her.

‘I had to keep it together. I had to get up the next day and go film and pretend like everything’s fine,’ she said on the podcast.

‘I kind of started to learn how to block it out and show up with a smile, do what I needed to do and cry after. You turn it on when you need to for cameras.’

She says she also kept it a secret from her friends and family, with the 37-year-old explaining, ‘I tried to hide it from a lot of people because it’s embarrassing, it’s humiliating.’

When Audrina became pregnant with their daughter, she hoped things would change, but instead, it just got ‘worse.’

‘Once Kirra was born it was the happiest I had ever seen him. He was so excited to be a dad and for this new chapter in our lives,’ she recalled, before alleging: ‘But things gradually got worse. It just got worse and worse.

‘I thought if we got married, if we had this beautiful child together, he could now know that I’m his, I’m not going to cheat on him, stop worrying about that. This is my life now.’

Audrina said she would sometimes wake up to Corey standing over her and yelling things like, ‘You’re pathetic. You’re a failure. You’re a fake c**t.’

‘Then he’d say it was my fault because I didn’t give him enough or attention. Like what?’ she explained.

She added that she was sure he was cheating on her at that point, but ‘didn’t care.’

‘I was so numb, I just didn’t care. I got to the point where, I was almost like, I’m glad you’re cheating,’ she revealed.

‘Go be with whoever you want, I don’t want to be around you. Your energy, everything, it just made me want to run.’

Despite the negative aspects of the relationship, Audrina said she was ‘so determined’ to make things work because her ‘main priority was her baby.’

On the day of their wedding, which took place in Hawaii, Audrina remembered feeling like she wanted to back out, but deciding not to because her whole family had flown to the island for the occasion.

She shared: ‘I was such a people pleaser. I was in robot mode. I jumped back into this mode I used to get in on The Hills, like OK, get your hair and makeup done, walk down the aisle, just get through it, everything’s going to be fine.’

However, after she walked in on Corey drinking with his friends while their baby daughter was asleep upstairs months later, she had enough.

‘They were drinking and running around naked in the living room, the music was loud,’ she told Alex.

‘I knew then that his priorities were not right. This isn’t happening again. She was only four or five months [old].

‘You can’t drink or have too much fun, you have to be there mentally in case something happens, in case she wakes up and cries. You can’t go drinking with your friends and pass out with a baby upstairs.’

But the ultimate final straw came after Corey shoved her while she was carrying the then-baby, who is now seven, which prompted her to call the police.

‘It was like that flight or fright mode. I kind of froze, I didn’t know what to do,’ she recalled of the incident.

‘Things kept escalating. When I was pushed back, Kirra started screaming and crying and I started screaming and crying and he realized what happened.

‘He started crying, everything just spiraled and it got worse. That’s when my family got involved and the police got involved.

‘I knew at that moment, that’s the end of it. I knew after what happened, he wasn’t gonna change.’

‘I gave him so many chances,’ she said. ‘That’s when I knew, this is it. I was so depleted, energetically, emotionally, physically, spiritually.

‘I lost so much weight, I was isolated. I wasn’t myself. I was trying to get back out there and smile but it wasn’t there. I knew it was time.’

Now, she is in a ‘good place,’ adding that she and Kirra are both ‘happy.’ As for what prompted her to speak up, she said receiving empowering messages from other women who have struggled gave her the strength.

‘Sometimes what I was going through was so humiliating and I’d get down on myself, but reading [fan DMs] would lift me back up and remind me that I’m not alone,’ she said.

‘It takes a long time to recover from that and to feel like you’re you again and that you’re lovable. But someone will love you again, don’t believe that you’re never good enough to be loved because you are.’

Last October, the former couple finalized a custody agreement, with a judge ruling that Audrina will share joint legal custody with her ex, but she’ll receive a bulk of the physical custody.

As for her love life, she said she’s ‘open to dating’ but her main priority is her daughter.

‘I’m not dating for me, it’s for my daughter too. Whoever I date next, it has to be the real deal,’ she concluded.
